Know WHY you are in the business and better your chance for Network Marketing Success begin
Do you wonder why some people fail and some succeed in the same Network Marketing company? Everyone in the company has the same management, the same product or service, the same compensation plan. Yet some rise to the top while many fall short of success. They quit and blame the company, their sponsor or the industry for their failure. They didn’t know WHY there where in the business.
Successful Network Marketers know WHY they are in the business. Do you know why you are?
Burning desire is missing.
Those that quit or fail don’t have the burning desire to succeed. They don’t know WHY they got into the business. If something sets them back in their business, they don’t know WHY to persist.
There are many reasons for being in Network marketing. What are yours? Can you put them in a paragraph? Can you put them on an index card? OK…go ahead. That is a start.
Money is not the reason.
Many people say, they do this business for the money. I don’t believe it is just for the money. Money is just printed paper. A pile of money has no more useful value than a pile of newspapers until you exchange if for something you value. So, the reason you are in the Network marketing business is to earn money to trade for something you value. Your WHY is what you value.
So, what do you value?
What do you really desire? Do you want a new wardrobe, a new car, to take a vacation, a new home or different zip code? Do you want enough money to send the kids or grand-kids to camp or to college? Do you want surplus money to give to your church or charity? Do you want to have enough income to fire your boss? What is the “thing” you really want? Your why.
When you identify the “thing,” you want with a burning desire, you have your WHY. If your WHY is big enough you will find out how to achieve it. You will learn what to do and you will persist in doing what it takes until it produces the money you desire to satisfy your WHY.
Belief is a motivator.
To push through the hazards that will arise, you must believe in yourself, in your company, in your products, and in your compensation plan. You must believe your effort will take you to your WHY.
You must believe that network marketing is the vehicle that can allow you to achieve your dream and fulfill your burning desire. Believe it will allow you to have freedom of time and the money to enjoy it.
When times get tough in your Network marketing business, the image of your WHY is what will allow you to summon the strength within yourself to hurdle the road hazards that come up. If your WHY is not strong enough, you will stumble over the hurdle and quit.
You can’t fail unless you quit.
Is you why written down?
There is one more thing you must do with your WHY to drive you to take action. Make it your goal. Write down your goal and plans…your WHY. Put it on that 3 x 5 card and review it daily.
In 1979, interviewers asked new graduates from the Harvard’s MBA Program if they had written down their goals. They found that:
84% had no specific goals at all
13% had goals but they were not committed to paper
3% had clear, written goals and plans to accomplish them
The three percent who had clear, written goals were earning, on average.
